This week is National Family Week!

This year’s theme is Play At All Ages: A Prescription for Wellbeing.

Play is the universal right and language of childhood. Through play, children learn, make friends, communicate, stay active, problem-solve, and make sense of the world around them!

Since 1985, during the first week of October, Canadians in communities across the country come together for local festivities celebrating National Family Week. The week provides an opportunity to celebrate families and reflect on their importance in our lives.

Families Canada encourages you to share the way you play at all ages all week long! Be sure to tag them in your pictures and use the hashtag #CNFW2022!
