On Friday, June 18th, OPC’s Dr. Louise de Lannoy presented at the 2021 Virtual Play Conference, an annual educational conference held by the US Play Coalition. This year, due to pandemic restrictions, the conference was held online from April 1st to June 30th, 2021 with weekly networking events and presentations, recorded and available for viewing by conference registrants up until the fall of 2021.

Dr. de Lannoy’s presentation, ‘Outdoor Play Canada: Promoting, Protecting, and Preserving Play in Nature and the Outdoors’ was the final presentation of the 3-month long conference, in which she provided a brief history of OPC and an overview and teaser for the soon-to-be-released State of the Sector Report, a 6-year review of where the outdoor play sector in Canada has been since the publication of the Position Statement on Active Outdoor Play, where we are now, and where we need to go next.
